How Our Technology Works
Our technology is based on three key elements — the material we select, the way we position each lens, and the bonding process that holds it all together.
Premium Selection Lenses & Refractive Index
These are not standard optical lenses, but mineral glass lenses used in medical optics and binoculars and scopes. They are made from a solid glass material, making them more stable and durable while maintaining high optical quality.
The refractive index is designed to control how light passes through the lenses without distortion. This directly affects clarity and sharpness.
We select optimum glass materials based on your prescription powers and the optimal fit for your mask.
Centration and Position of the Lenses
Every lens has an optical center where light passes through with minimal distortion. As you move toward the edges of the lens, optical errors and distortion increase.
Ideally, the optical center of the lens is precisely aligned with the center of the pupil. This is taken into account during the lens grinding process, allowing us to precisely customize the lens to match the individual optical parameters of each eye.
Bonding process
We use optical clear adhesives (OCA Adhesives) that are also used in industrial and medical optical equipment. The process is based on UV bonding and vacuum conditions, where time, temperature, and pressure are precisely controlled and critical for a high-quality bond and superior optical clarity. This process minimizes the risk of optical errors in the space between the lenses, such as Newton’s rings, complex astigmatism, and glare.
Quality and testing
With this technological process, we ensure a flawless product. The quality remains consistent and long-lasting, ensuring safe use and reliable optical performance throughout the mask's lifetime.
The bonds have been tested against external factors such as UV exposure, high temperatures, and salt under normal use conditions, with no signs of degradation or damage observed.
Custom tailored
Each lens is made to match your exact vision requirements — not approximations. We produce lenses with precise diopter values, accurate to ±0.25, including both spherical and astigmatic corrections with the exact cylinder axis.
Your prescription (Rx) is applied in full, and each lens is positioned according to your pupillary distance (PD). This ensures perfect alignment with your eyes.
The result is clear, stable, and natural vision underwater — without strain, distortion, or compromise, just like properly fitted glasses on land.
Lens size and integration
Using more material or larger lenses does not necessarily improve vision — especially with higher prescriptions. Larger lens diameters can lead to increased thickness and more optical aberrations, both in the center and toward the edges.
For this reason, lenses are not placed across the entire mask. Instead, they are positioned precisely where correction is needed, based on the individual prescription. This approach reduces weight, minimizes distortion, and maintains optimal visual performance.
Corrective lenses in glasses are typically smaller than those in our masks, so adaptation is natural and effortless for most users.
Custom, Tailor-Made Manufacturing
We are not a mass-production facility. Every mask is handcrafted and built individually for each customer, allowing us to focus on the details that truly matter — where precision makes the difference.
Each mask is designed around your exact optical parameters, with its own custom-shaped mineral lenses. This level of control ensures that every element is positioned exactly where it needs to be for optimal performance.
Because of this approach, we can offer a fully personalized solution:
-
Distance lensesFor clear vision far away.
-
Near (reading) lensesWith segments positioned so you can easily read your diving instruments when looking down.
-
Progressive mineral glass lensesOur most popular option, providing sharp vision at all distances — near, intermediate, and far.
-
Prisms and other complex solutionsFor those who need exact picture or lens positioning for HUD adapters or other special equipment.
We adapt every mask to the individual, delivering the highest level of customization and visual performance underwater.
Why It Matters for You
Vision underwater is fundamentally different — light behaves differently, contrast is lower, and visibility is often reduced. Small visual imperfections quickly become big problems.
This is where precise optics make a real difference. Accurate lenses help you judge distance accurately, recognize details more quickly, and stay fully aware of your surroundings. It reduces eye strain and eliminates the constant need to "adjust" your vision.
Clear vision underwater is not just about comfort — it is about safety. Being able to read your instruments accurately, judge distances, and react quickly can make a critical difference in real diving situations.
